Little old lady who lives in a shoe

OK, so I'm not THAT old (am I?), but I do live in a shoe-type environment, and I do have four children (all grown) and eight grandchildren.
When one of my granddaughters asked me why I lived in a hotdog house while she lived in a cracker house, I couldn't help but wonder about her unique way of visualizing the difference between a mobile home and an apartment building. A decade later I'm still living in a shoe, and so is she, along with her mother and four siblings.
Now is my time to get my career set on the path I originally intended it to be on – the writing path. I've written three screenplays – one of which I wouldn't show to my neighbor's dog, two books – one for children, and several poems. I've landed an honorable mention in Writer's Digest's 2005 contest, and I'm hoping to garner some attention for that one again (Cry for the Lady), and for another one (Flies on the Wall).
My goal is to quit my day job (designing ads) and devote myself full-time to my passion - writing.

the "box" is easy! just make friends and enjoy ;)

Hahah thanks for the msg! You're the first person to comment on my neck. Some people I work with keep walking by and saying "what is that a picture of!!!" I guess it takes a second to figure out.
I should have thought of it as eyes on the back of my head... but I'm more of a technophile nerd. I like to pretend that's how I jack into the Matrix. :)
