Good directors and producers Oct 24, 2006 03:32PM
CUSTOMER SERVICE A psychotic Customer service agent against the backdrop of a 45 billion dollar prescription industry, two FBI agents in pursuit, and a concerned co-worker in a basement tied to a chair, will the FBI get to him in time before he burns to crisp in a massive explosion? This screenplay will turn heads, no way you can go wrong with a premise that has not been beaten to dead. I need a strong producer and director to help/or even share production and or directorial credit. This script has gotten great reviews on Helium, Triggerstreet and screenwritersutopia. If you are serious please contact to discuss details and also feel free to comment on the logline. You could read the script on any of the above mentioned websites. ___________________________________________________________ EXCERPT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE-- EXT.JESSIE'S HOUSE-DAY SUPER:Bethel 30 minutes east of Minneapolis Bethel, a beautiful city, heavily wooded area. Birds constantly chirping all around. INT.JESSIE'S HOUSE The clock on the bedside table shows 6.00am. JESSIE wakes up, he gets dress and walks down to his basement. INT.JESSIE'S BASEMENT--CONTINUOUS An aging oak table sits in the middle of the basement with several gory tools on it. The walls of the basement are lined up with newspaper clippings of missing persons. A picture of a young lady about 25 years old, MISSING. A picture of a second woman about the same age and last a picture of a young man about 20 years old also MISSING. Ritualistically, Jessie walks around the basement. His eyes closed. He feels for the first picture on the wall, his fingers touching the tip of the young woman's lips... FLASHBACK EXT.WOODS-DAY SUPER: Luck, Wisconsin-2003 A young woman is running for her life. She is bleeding, extremely dirty and almost naked. She is being chased; she is exhausted and has nowhere else to run to. The young woman is crying, begging for her life. A man's hand reaches for her. He grabs her, dragging her down to the ground. She screams, a very loud and piercing scream... Several birds’ flutter, scared away by her screams. BACK TO SCENE: INT.JESSIE'S BASEMENT Lined up along the four walls of Jessie's basement are remains of carcasses compiled from previous hunting trips. A deer head, a dead bat, an alligator skin and other scary creatures. In a glass case in the background, we see a slimy AFRICAN BOOMSLANG. Jessie protects his hands with gloves. He walks toward the case and picks up the snake. He looks into the Boomslang's eyes holding it tightly by the neck. Then he puts it back into the case. He walks to a wooden case sitting on the oak table. The case has tiny peepholes in it for air circulation. Jessie opens the case and out pops a little white mouse's head. He grabs the mouse by the tail. The mouse struggles squeaking loudly. Jessie tries to calm the mouse down, lightly rubbing its furry coat. He kiss the mouse and drops it into the glass case. The Boomslang snaps, sees a prey. It sleekly bites the mouse by the neck and starts to lightly CONSTRICT it. The mouse continues to squeak loudly for about 10 seconds then all is QUIET. The Boomslang swallows the mouse whole. DISSOLVE TO: INT.CALL CENTER-DAY SUPER: Mail Service RX,Minneapolis Jessie is walking towards his cubicle. Dozens of customer services agents are on the phones chattering loudly to customers on the other end of the lines. As Jessie walks to his curb, the camera pans on the Customer Service agent in the cubicle next to him. A black male taking a prescription order from an irate customer. The name tag on his cubicle reads DEVON MCGREGOR... CUSTOMER(V.O) I send you my change of address and you still mail my order to an address I have not lived at in years. How in the hell did that happen? DEVON I am not sure sir, I will have to research it for you. Could you hold for just a moment, please? Devon pauses for a moment scrolling through the account. DEVON (continues) Sir, our records indicate that you live at 770 walnut street. CUSTOMER(V.O) No, that is incorrect. DEVON I am sorry sir,I do apologize for the inconvenience. CUSTOMER(V.O) I need this corrected and I want YOU to correct it now. I have been out of my Medication for two days now. If anything happens to me I am going to sue the fuck out of you and your company. Devon pauses, his facial expression changes for a moment to a look of utter disgust. DEVON Sir, I personally have nothing to do with the wrong address. However, I would be more than glad to have the problem corrected for you. Once again:My apologies for any inconvenience this may have cost you. CUSTOMER(V.O) When I say you, I meant the company you work for. Don't take it personally. DEVON Sure Sir, anything else? CUSTOMER(V.O) No but thank you and have a nice day, bye. Devon rips off the headset and sighs heavily. He walks around the cubicle trying to cool off. DEVON Man I hate this Job. Jessie is logging onto his computer, getting ready to take calls. Devon gets up, peeps over the cubicle. DEVON Hi Jessie. How is it going? JESSIE Hi Dee, I am fine. Is it busy today? DEVON Man, I am getting hammered. If I was a serial killer, I would be blowing off people's heads left and right, right over the phone. They are killing me. Jessie looks up at him, with a mucked smile on his face. JESSIE I know what you mean. Devon sits back, returning to his work. Jessie takes his first call. BEEP,BEEP... His phone beeps twice, a CUSTOMER calls in. JESSIE Thank you for calling Mail RX Service, this is Jessie, how may I help you. CUSTOMER(V.O) Yeah Hi, This is Eric McCormick from Erie, Pennsylvania. Sir, your order is in the pharmacy being processed. It's scheduled to go out in the next two to three business days. CUSTOMER(V.O) Two to three business days? The customer pauses for a second. CUSTOMER(V.O) Can you expedite it, I am running low on one of the prescriptions. While the customer is speaking, Jessie scrolls through his account. We see a full computer screen with the customer's NAME, his ADDRESS and all the PRESCRIPTIONS he takes. Jessie looks at one of the prescription, copies the name. Launches Internet explorer and LOOKS UP the drug. We see a description of what the medication is use for. BACK TO SCENE: JESSIE Sure, just one moment Sir. We can expedite it but it will cost $25.00 EXTRA to send it. CUSTOMER(V.O) Sure, that is fine. I need my prescriptions. JESSIE Anything else Sir? CUSTOMER(V.O) No, thank you. JESSIE Thank you for calling Mail Service... Before Jessie finishes up his sentence, customer hangs up and we hear dial tone... JESSIE (Continues) ...RX,Goodbye. The camera pans around the Call Center. Hundreds of customer service representatives are on the phones. The call center is full of chatter. We come back to Jessie's cubicle. His phone beeps again and he answers repeating the same call greeting. JESSIE Thank you for calling Mail Service RX... The customer interrupts him... JOHN(V.O) Hello... Jessie pauses for a moment. EXT.WALGREENS-CAIRO, IL-DAY A middle aged white male is on the other end obviously very angry, handling empty prescription bottles. JESSIE Sir, I would be glad to help you with that. May I have your member number and your name please. JOHN(V.O) My name is John Watson and I punched my ID number in. Can't you see it? JESSIE I am sorry Sir, could you give it to me again, please. Really fast, the customer starts blurting the idea number. CUSTOMER(V.O) It is 212360500... Second Chances and Customer Service Oct 20, 2006 01:43PM
Two high power scripts scripts looking for a home. Second chances is an Urban script, if a "Boyz n da hood II" movie was made this would be it. Customer service is just one of kind. Who thought the Customer service agents we talk to could come knocking at our doors trying to kill us. Nice premise for both scripts, both set in Minneapolis, MN. Looking for some advice as how to market this scripts. Needlessly to say, I need an agent so bad. I want to star in the scripts I wrote, share your thoughts.

Hi there, it's weird us both being on-line at the same time. I'm really getting to grips with blogging now.

Glad you liked the trailer. Capturing the facial expressions was important to me. I actually cut the dance sequence myself. The editor did the structure but I felt it needed the details. The expressions are the kind you'd get from your aunty.

I'd be interested in reading your work. I've been adviced to look at other projects but I can also give advice. Met a few writers Monday with projects to develop.

Must shoot now. I have a 5:30am calltime tomorrow.

    Take care.

I have checked your website and read your bio. Shantell Town looks very interesting and I can’t wait to see it. I am based out of Saint Paul, MN. Two of my scripts are all done now, I am trying to get buyers for it. I have had great reviews from Helium, Zoetrope and Screenwritersutopia .com and also on triggerstreet.com.

I have a new script that I am working on set in the near future called Plague. First scene takes place in London. I am halfway done with it and it looks great so far.
