Its been a while...

Hey folks. Its all action-stations here at WAB HQ. We have had Silverlake festival, Tribeca festival, and now Jacksonville. More festivals are joingin our ranks every week. With each festival comes a healthy dose of you lovely people, the audience.
For those of you new to the site I would like to say welcome! Its very exciting for me to be involved in this project, and I cant wait to reveal all the cool stuff we have lined up over the next few months. But for now, I have to keep schtum :)
In the meantime, make yourselves confortable, check out some cool films, make some new friends, and get ready for the party!

Ah, friday night once more :)
Excited to see some new things appear on the site very soon...
- add / remove to your calendar has been updated, all nice and shiny AJAX, a couple new graphics
- comments should be looking a bit better - tho y'all have to start uploading nice piccy's of yourselve's - check your profile - there are a couple of new options there (thanks to sara!). More profile updates next week...stay tuned...
Some of you are starting to use your blogs more - Excellent! Keep it up! I'll be working next week to mak e blogs more manageable, looking a bit nicer... Also there may be some changes to the front page - its got a little too big for its boots, and needs a bit or reorganisation... hmmm... as does the dashboard :)

Oh, something I found on the net the other day - for all you film buffs that have a geeky streak - check out broke mac mountain. Stupid but funny :)

Well actually, no new features from me today.... but instead a bit of loving for internet explorer. Sheesh, I can't wait for ie 7.0 to come out :)
Hey everyone - if you still use internet explorer, *please* consider using firefox instead.
...Maybe there are some of you that have tried firefox, and don't like it.... Let me know why!

The site continues to grow.... as does the dashboard....
... Been working on speed ups for the schedule, more films on the front page, throwing Sundance into the mix, making dashboard panels minimisable, css tweaks and fixes....
I hear that windows i.e. needs a bit of love.... Hmrf. why can't *everyone* just use firefox or safari?? ;-)
Relaxing weekend after a busy week

Last week was pretty crazy getting the site ready for y'all to see. As such, my weekend was spent largely sleeping, and dreaming how to make this site better...
I feel that we have taken only the first, small step on this creative conveyor belt. Between the team, there is a fountain of great ideas ...Its' all a question of priorities :)
Stay tuned as we launch Sundance schedule, do more AJAX stuff, and generally try to provide as interesting and inspirational experience for you all!

I'd like to make a suggestion for the site:
I think it would be nice if we could alter the information for our film page on the audience site without having to go through the Withoutabox main info page. This is mostly because I want my summary shorter without having to alter my 125 word synopsis. However, if there's a way to do it on the audience site that I overlooked, please feel free to call me stupid.

Anyways, I'm pretty new to the internet filmmaking community. Would you mind taking a look at my first posted movie and telling me what you think? I'm pretty sure that I could benefit from critique from somebody who knows what he's doing, and it's not that long.
