"WHEN THEY COULD FLY" has received Best Production Award at the Cityvisions of New York Film Festival.
The film also has won two awards at the 2007 Texas Black Film Festival.
The First Award was for BEST SHORT FILM. The Second Award was for BEST OVERALL FILM of the festival. Also, "WHEN THEY COULD FLY" is the WINNER of the 2007 Top Ten Films in America and it has received: SHOESTRING AWARD at the 2007 Rochester International Film Festival, BEST DRAMA AWARD at the 2007 Buffalo Niagara Film Festival, BEST SHORT FILM AWARD at the 2007 Montclair International Film Festival, BEST INDIE FILM AWARD at the 2007 Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles.
The film also is the NOMINEE for the following awards: BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY and BEST SHORT FILM AWARD at the 2007 California Independent Film Festival, BEST STUDENT FILM AWARD at the 2007 Bare Bones International Film Festival, BEST SHORT AWARD at the 2007 Arizona Black Film Showcase.
