WORLDFEST UPDATE / NEW PROJECT
May 02, 2006 10:11AM
Hey all. I'm very excited and had to share that PARTS won a gold Remi award at Worldfest for best short screenplay. The last I looked, it's still up at www.247show.com.
Also, I'm just starting pre-production on a short that I'm planning for an end of the year shoot and will be looking for crew who are willing to work for meals, copy and credit. It will most likely be a two weekend shoot on DV. If anybody's interested, feel free to contact me.

I'm very excited to announce that Worldfest 06 has nominated PARTS for one of their Remi Awards, and in doing so, has posted my entire short on their website www.247show.com. Please check it out. I'm open to any feedback, although I hope you enjoy the short.
Best to all.
Best to all.
PARTS to be screening soon

Not only is this my very first film, but this is the first blog I've ever posted. A special "thank you" to Jennifer at withoutabox.com for some insightful information today.
I hope whoever is interested in learning more about Parts will visit its website at www.sandpiperproductionsinc.com. I also have my second short film posted there as well, ON ONE NIGHT... (yes, the ... is part of the title). There is video posted for each project. Check it out. I'd love to know what you think.

It's good to have a soft spot. And I love a good cry sometimes too. It happens every time I watch my favorite film of all time... The Color Purple.

Well, lucky for me, I'm not so hindered with needing a romantic comedy to be "good". It's one of the few genres that I can laugh, and cry, and enjoy, regardless of how bad the acting and writing is. Maybe I'm just more susceptible to the Hollywood ploy of tugging on my heartstrings...

Yes, the more the merrier.
Let's just say that good romantic comedies are few and far between. However, my favorite is Notting Hill. I even spent a year long internship under Anya Kochoff who wrote Monster In-Law. It should be suicide to physically write what my thoughts are on that film. :)

What's wrong with romantic comedies, huh? :) Good to have a new Audience friend!
