If you're serious and want to make a career of filmmaking you MUST consider directing / producing the film. Study the craft on your own , read, talk to people. If you don't have much money adjust the script so you can produce it. Take charge of your career and empower yourself. It can be done. There are many examples of this such as Spike Lee, Robert Townsend, Keenan Ivory Wayans, Robert Rodriguez, Matty Rich, Ed Burns. Go to IMDB and look these people up and see how they made their first film. Read everything you can. MAKE IT HAPPEN YOURSELF!! You can do it!

Maybe you should write a blog and explain everything that your trying to do. You can even write several blogs and then you will get more responses.
