Film Maker's Blog
Rapidly Approaching our Regular Deadline
Jun 04, 2006 09:38AM
We have already received quite a few high quality performance and storytelling films in both documentary and narrative form, but we are looking for more! We set out this innaugural year to penetrate the stigma that has become precident with some festivals and independent films by delivering to our audience solely films that represent quality filmmaking by way of storytelling and performances. I believe we have been able to do that thus far, and I do also believe that filmmakers will be very pleased to see the company of films that their films are playing alongside of.
As the event draws closer (less than 3 months at the time of this writing), press coverage is heating up and our promotions are swinging into effect. You'll note that IPIFF has a serious presence in both Sandpoint Magazine's summer edition and North Idaho Lifestyles. We will be advertising right alongside of a full page article and cover mention in NIL. This is just the beginning as we plan to get individual films reviewed as well as much more coverage about the festival in papers, magazines, radio, and even TV.
Nevertheless, we still have space remaining for programming, so if you're a filmmaker and you're reading this (and your film has quality storytelling and performances or is intriguing and captivating if it is a documentary), submit now!
Until next time,
Trevor Greenfield
