My greatest joy is doing the impossible, or die trying.
I love the process of creating my own roles and letting Hollywood peek into a world where I am a resident and not just someone searching for a place to rest my head.
I still audition, but I refuse to sit and wait for someone to decide if I am right or wrong for the part. I am union eligible. And I must say, "Hard work."
Ask yourself, is this your dream? Or IS this what you want to do? And if it is, formulate what it takes for you to live in your dream and make the dream real.
For me, the rest of this year is already planned.
During the week day, I work at a talent agency. During the week night, I teach classes in ballet and conditioning to kids and adults. On Saturdays, I volunteer my time and I teach wonderful kids, between the ages of 4 years of age to 16 in Leimert Park.

I teach the joys of acting, reacting to the elements, reacting to other actors, reacting to situations and reacting to the need to be wanted within the story presented.
I continue to write. I continue to direct. I continue to produce. I continue to act. I continue to be happy and live for self, and not through other people.
This summer I will be directing an actor's summer camp on the UC Berkeley campus.
This fall I will be filming my first trailer.
This holiday, I am enjoying my family.
And in between I just live.
I just be.
I just do.
It's okay to make mistakes. We learn. We grow. We become stronger. We might be the lesson or the lightor the "silent" mentor in someone else's life. Who knows. We make ourselves more crazy asking and begging for help. I am learning that when one creates one's situations and one's jobs, one sends out a signal. That signal attracts other people, in related fields, or just people who believe in what you do and want to help. And in some instances, they don't want anything in return. Some do. And some don't. You weed out the bad. And you take the good in stride.
I've learned to love myself. And in turn I do not mind in the least the work, the load, the hobby, the tough times and the good times. I am doing what I want to do. And as long as I am not doing anything against my morals, or hurting other people, the rewards will come. For some the rewards are emotional. for others the rewards are spiritual. For some, the rewards are profitable. Just be. Just do.

Waiting in the wing, offers someone else a chance to succeed where we hesitate. Watch the things that happen around us. Take notes. Listen to that thing that pushes us forward. Then LEARN, EXPERIENCE. Fly. Soar. Eventually we hit that star, that dream, that thing called impossible. We will never know what we are capable of accomplishing until we try. Who doesn't want a job called "hobby"?

Yeah - That's the attitude. We're in the middle of the evolution here.. and you don't need to rely on traditional distribution to find your audience.
