We are dangerous because we are self-governed. Self government is the highest ideal of the United States of America and the dream of billions across the earth. And being free, self-governed individuals, we can choose the moral standards according to which we live. History clearly reveals that the instinct to destroy is strong within our blood. Human nature often seems paradoxical. More and more with each passing moment, we butcher God�s bounty and sell it off, piece by piece, to fulfill our materialistic fantasies. And yet we are bound by the sacred religious commandments, by the greatest philosophical texts, by the aggregate teachings of thousands of years of civilized thought, and by inborn altruism and empathy to uphold basic moral principles. We are obligated to recognize, respect, and celebrate the deep bonds that connect humans together in excellent harmony as comrades, friends, family, lovers.

Ideas are usually enormous lumbering Monoliths of emotional insanity. And, like the ape-men of 2001 Space Odyssey, we find ourselves clawing at the outer surface of the Monoliths, with no ultimate understanding of their meaning and significance.

many of you thought this day would never come, but i insisted that we conduct disciplined drills every morning at 5:00 AM in the freezing tundra in order to prepare for this very circumstance!
many of you said i was insane. no matter. perhaps you are correct.
climate wars must be averted.
