"A Passionate, powerful and moving story about the depth of friendship. A relentless cast in a simple and breathtaking film." -Gloria Gifford, Master Teacher (AFI Masters Program), Executive Director: Rebel Planet Film Festival

-"To say this whole production was highly professional would be an understatement. Everything from the camera work, the sound, the editing and even the music were all expertly crafted together into a highly professional piece that was a pleasure to watch. Every single member of the cast was highly professional, playing their parts with an obvious understanding of what writer/director Samantha Lavin was trying to achieve. Everyone involved in this production is a credit to the industry and they should all be proud of the final product. It's not surprising this film has won awards and has been accepted to a large number of festivals." - Duane Martin, Rogue Cinema Review

Director's Statement... Jul 30, 2006 02:12PM
I have always been fascinated by regret. More specifically, by that one conversation in life that we all wish we'd had with someone special, and whether it would have changed the course of our lives. This film focuses on a young woman who returns to her home town after eight years for a wedding. When familiar people and places trigger powerful memories, present and past, memory and reality all collide around an incident she'd tried to bury in high school. This film also explores the depth of friendship and the fluid nature of sexuality. People always ask me if this film is based on a personal story... I consider this the highest complement because that means that it is striking people as real and of course emotionally it certainly is. However, I'd say this story is more personal "to" me, rather than "of" me.

We had a great screening at the festival with one of the largest crowds at the Fusion Shorts sections (probably in no small order due to the publicity we got from Debbie Lynn Elias at the Santa Monica Observer) and a terrific response to the film. In attendance were press, producers, casting directors, you name it! It's a great festival for those thinking of applying next year. The venue was beautiful and the directors Michael and Leslee are awesome. "No Stars. No Politics. No Sh*t." - Dances With Films tagline. Love it.

We were honored with the Best 16mm Short Film Award at the Long Island International Film Festival! We are so proud of our cast and crew.
