Actor Eben Kostbar extends his talents as a first time writer/director in the charming comedy short film, "Karma Cafe." Some of his acting credits include the film, "Shackles" (Starring D.L. Hughley & Directed by Charles Winkler) now on dvd, as well as, "Dog Lovers Symphony" which was released in selected California theaters in June of 2006 and is now on dvd as well. He has also appeared on the primetime television series, "The Uni" and "Danny" and most recently filmed two series regular roles on the television pilots, "Wrigleyville" and "Cockblockers." Additionally, Eben has launched his own independent production company, Quality Time Productions and plans on following his directing debut short film, "Karma Cafe" with a feature film scheduled to go into production in the summber of 2007. karma cafe was recently placed on the ifc website and i'd love if you guys wouldnt mind voting/commenting cause the highest rated films are selected to air on the ifc tv channel. well i'd greatly appreciate the support. heres the direct link, unfort u have to take a second to sign up, but ITS FREE and then u can actually vote right away. Side note, their website has a little glitch when signing in, so if youre having some trouble try checking/unchecking the boxes on the bottom of the ifc media signup info and that should work. http://medialab.ifc.com/film_detail.jsp?film_id=4021 (fyi: i had to cut down the my original 10 min version just for this site cause it couldnt be more than 6 min, i obv like my longer version better, but i think this version works as well) THANKS EVERYONE!!! Note: If there are some filmmakers out there who havent done the ifc media site, u might want to look into it, sounds like a good opportunity.

Just watched and rated KARMA CAFE on the ifc site.
To go from 10 minutes to 6 minutes... wow, that's quite an achievement.
The story and humour still work fine, so clearly you editing was successful.

I watched Karma café. It's a real "feel good movie"! Well seen. We all know how the guy was feeling at the time when his coffes started to get larger and larger. I very much enjoyed it, found myself laughing. Thanks.

Hi!

We've manged to submit the "La Victime 1" at the Beverly Hills Fine Arts Industry Showcase and the movie is in consideration. We're not quiet sure with the tehcnic, sound, row actors and lights being the problems, but we're confident to our story that it's the first Congolosese indie. We're waitting on the 28th for the result from the Festival. At least, we've tried our best to reach there. We're are still carring with the "Le Nouveau Patron". We must have less problems as we're getting more experience in the Post Production. Thanks to Dstrauss and Jacques for the words of encouragments on the blogs.
It made us to look forward and forget our past failures.
