Luis Arambilet (born September 16, 1957 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) is a writer, screenplayer, filmmaker, painter, graphic artist and systems engineer. Presently he is President and Executive Producer of Cinema Barlovento and 24fps Films Production Society. Arambilet Won the Dominican National Literary Award in 1994 with the short stories book "Cayenne petals" and again in 2005 with the Alfaguara novel: "Neguri's secret". In 2005 he wrote three screenplays: "Neguri's Secret", "The golden manatee mystery" and "The sword and the cross". Arambilet also produced, directed and edited "Neguri's secret". In 2006 wrote, directed and edited three short films: "Waltz" (Vals: Official selection of E. Leon Jimenes visual arts biennial 2006 and Rainier Independent Film Festival 2007), "Sepiazul", and "Luck".
