One of my wonderful leading ladies from Death of a Saleswoman is going to the Emmy Awards this sunday, how great is that??!!!
She's up for her role as the breast feeding mom in THE OFFICE and we have all our fingers and toes crossed for you, dear Ursula!!
Ursula will be decked out in a custom made gown by a famous designer and will be wearing jewels around her neck and elsewhere worth the price of a one bedroom condo in West Hollywood!!
I'll be watching...hope you will too!

Sundance was great this year...really cold for those who love winter weather! and Italy...well it was amazing...!
I'll post pix from both shortly.
Meanwhile, while I was on the festival road, DOAS won Best Feature Film at the Gem City Film Fest in Florida!
How great was my January 07, huh? It's always such a blessing to hear from audiences and fest staff that they liked the film...often years in the making, those indie films:)
Thanks to those who seek out indie film and thanks to our country for not censoring us as they do in other countries such as India, for one. Just heard an Oscar nominated director speak the other night and her set was bombed when she tried to shoot in India. Bombed, people. Can you believe that????!!!! Talk about repressing your freedom of speech. And it was bombed because the govt of her country disapproved of her script.
Sheesh. And then she's nominated for an OSCAR in our country. See?? America rocks for some things...0)

I just finished a new feature script, SAM AND DEAN, during the summer, held a staged reading in August, got the first investor onboard, and now have won a semifinalist award from the Slamdance '06 screenplay competition! it's all great news as we move forward with SAM AND DEAN, expected to shoot in April in Los Angeles...we'll be taking the script to Sundance to show it around...stay tuned...

We are impressed with your film and what it is about. We organize three film festivals in the middle of the Atlantic ocean and.......... Just kidding. The Pumelo dude is really getting on my nerves. He is on every site that I visit. But I really like your trailer! I watched it a few times and laughed out loud each time. How's the marketing going? I hope you do really well because your film looks so clever and as said earlier, it is really funny. My trailer can be seen at www.donttalksodumb.com. I enjoy reading the filmmaker's blogs. I'm not sure of the specifics of the camera, but it's a Canon mini dv camcorder. It isn't one of those professional ones, and is probably more meant for home videos. But, you know, gotta start somewhere. I did use FinalCut Pro to edit it though.
Also, I live on the West Coast near San Jose, CA.
