Film Description:

Synopsis

Based on transcripts of an interview with an actual call girl working for over 22 years, 'Transaction' is a frank and affecting cinema verite-style depiction of the interaction between a client and call girl that leaves the audience to determine their own feelings about that dynamic. The shooting style also provides a subtle examination of point of view, shifting energies/control and the commodification of sex.

Excellente idée que de s'attarder au début sur la personne du client, puis de s'interresser plus longuement à la call girl.
Diane Gaidry est excellente. Comme d'habitude.
Thanks for this present.

I do want to know more about this woman. I think the whole situation for this short has been pitched at a very sensitive level. I think the filmmaker shows equal respect for the call girl and the client. They both have lives outside of that particular monment and thats touched on slightly but enough for the viewer to learn that they live "normal" lives. Diane Gaidry plays the part with grace. She allows the guy to believe that she actually cares about him. You can hear her changing into her roll when she needs to perform for the client. She then has to gather herself together before leaving. Leaving him believing that she would like to see HIM again. Jacques Thelemaque films with a rawness that leaves the viewer feeling as if they were watching the film as a voyeur. He also knows how to capture the extreme beauty that is Gaidry. Please continue to make movies.

Well i can't help but reflect that the film maker knows how to capture a delicate moment, however is very plain in doing so, it was just too predictable for me. Normally with short films i need to have a desperate urge of wanting to see more, but it didn't happen! Sorry.. the acting was superb.

I look at the trailer I am not sure what to really think, other than she seem to be caught up in a world of confusion and low self esteem, I got the feeling this is not her life she just living it for now. Some kind of way deep down inside of herself she know this. I got that feeling in one small moment after their sex thing, she just lie there in a quick thought. "Okay I stop", (smile) I know I need to see more. However, it made me think and want to see more, that's a good sign keep up the good work.

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

Gigi
