Synopsis

Brandi Seaton feels something's missing in her love life. Though she's engaged to a handsome, successful college sweetheart, but questions whether she's really ready to make a life commitment. She decides that she needs a change in her life and breaks off her engagement. Her roommate suggests using a local telephone partyline as a way to meet a new prospect. Her first night she speaks with 'Dre'. He's educated, professional and sexy. Their conversations continue and she finds herself looking forward finally meeting Dre. Though apprehensive, Brandi soon agrees to rendezvous at a local cafe. Their meeting exceeds their expectations. They are attracted to each other and there seems to be a genuine 'chemistry' between them. The next time they meet Alex expresses far more than platonic interest. So much, that he 'spooks' Brandi. She decides she's not ready to take things further and that Alex is moving too quickly. Alex doesn't take the rejection well begins to stalk Brandi. First having flowers delivered to her office then having lunch delivered the following day. Finally he reveals that he has even watched Brandi as she left her office at the end of the day. By now, Brandi is angered and frightened. She decides to bluff Alex, by stating she is not interested in him because she is dating Anita (her roommate). Though false, the announcement enrages Alex. In the end, Alex, decides that Brandi will be his and nothing will stop him from having her.

More great "Partyline" Info! Jul 29, 2007 09:18PM
Hola Everyone! My co-producer, Simeon Henderson made a "ticket check" on Friday, July 27th and found there were 12 tickets left for our premiere (Saturday, Aug. 18th) for "Partyline" at the Black Harvest Festival of Film, Video and TV. Considering our publicist sent out press kits only a day or two before says the word is getting out both in and around Chicago. Only 3 of our production staff have even had "pluggers" to distribute. On Wednesday, July 25th a listing ran in the Chicago Crusader which is distributed primarily on the south side of Chicago. Then on Friday, July 27th Simeon was interviewed by Marcus Leshock, Host of Metromix for CLTV news. Both he and local producer/writer Roxxy Cooley (Fassytails) did a fabulous job speaking on their films and the indie film community in Chicago. Earlier that day local actor/producer/writer/director Derrick Dow was also interviewed about his film, "Family Values". I'm sure over the weekend the last of the tickets for "Partyline's" premiere on Saturday, Aug. 18th were sold. So if you didn't get yours you'd better rush and order tickets for the encore screening on Wednesday, Aug. 22nd. NOTE: It's July 30th and our films don't even screen for another 2 1/2 weeks! Thanks to our friends and supporters for making "Partyline" a hot ticket in Chicago! - CLG

On Friday (the 20th) I checked with the box office and found that there were only 50 seats left out of 200 for the premiere! That's 150 seats sold in less than 2 days and the film doesn't screen for another month! Special thanks to our supporters, friends and filmlovers who are making "Partyline" one HOT TICKET in Chicago!!! P.S. There are still seats availble for our August 22nd screening but if things continue like this they'll move fast. (We'd love to see our 2nd show sold out by the opening of the festival on August 3rd!!!) So get your tickets now! - Chris G.
