This film is about 30 years in the making, yes 30 long years. Kevin Costner's Dances with Wolves took 20 years to make. I was 8-10 and my late dad returned home from the mosque one day barefoot. That image of him at the door barefoot and having an amusing conversation with my mum stuck in my head and I knew back then that I will make a film about it one day. So in 2005, I did it!
