Film Description:

Synopsis

Man treads on dangerous ground while trying to tame the atom. But power-mad General D.E. Williams doesn’t care. It’s his last day on the job at Pearl Lake anyway. His reckless detonation of a nuclear bomb of his own design has terrible consequences for the innocent. Can he be stopped in time? Well... no. His actions lay waste to a military base and unleash an eight-legged mutation that exacts revenge on all who get in its way. Like those low-budget creature features of the 1950s and ’60s, 'It Came from Beyond the Mountain' embraces many of the same qualities, which are often referred to by the scholars as 'faults.'

Printing blues Oct 20, 2006 07:16PM
Due to a technical error at (name of post house withheld), the schedule for striking the final print of my short film got thrown out of whack, which means I'm going to have to have someone whacked. It also means that what will be shown at the Hollywood Film Festival this Sunday night (10/22) will be the original test print. *cringe*
Hollywood Film Festival screening Oct 18, 2006 07:35PM
Exciting news... October 22 my short film It Came From Beyond the Mountain will screen at the Hollywood Film Festival in the Horror Shorts Program. Screening begins at the late hour of 11 p.m., but it's at the ArcLight in Hollywood, which serves beer and wine (hint, hint). Though I've worked on many short films for over a decade, this is the first that I have directed. (I also wrote it, produced it, shot half of it and I think cooked lunch for the cast and crew on one occasion.) Go see it!
