The King of England dispatches Sir Talbet Chapman III to occupied Iraq to persuade Professor Marcus Sawyer and his 12-year-old son Trevor to find the Lost Tachyon. Sources in Zanzibar have discovered underwater activity off the coast of the Seychelles indicative of a shipwreck. Not just any shipwreck, an alien shipwreck whose engines contain a Tachyon. Before Chapman can tell Marcus where to find the shipwreck, a mysterious woman named Namrita murders him. Marcus hires Judson, a shady dive master who can get them to the dive site called Chanters of the Pyrenees. Judson?s daughter, 12-year-old Ravine, is an Iraqi run-away he adopted after the US invasion. When Trevor and Ravine meet, they hate each other. The Sawyer dive team find the Tomb of Ra. Once inside, Marcus realizes they are in the engine room of the destroyed spaceship that crashed on Earth 65 million years ago. The slate is still active. But when Namrita steals it, it triggers a global quest to get it back before she uses it as the ultimate weapon of doom.
