Film Description:
Synopsis
The movie begins with the main character contemplating the worthlessness of life. As he goes on, flashbacks of his day are seen. Through these flashbacks, we find that our protagonist is a detective who began his day at a, 'business as usual', crime scene. In the victim's pocket, the detective uncovers a small piece of paper giving information on a time and place. At the given location, a man in a dark business suit unexpectedly walks up and fires a shot into the detective's stomach. Left dying in a pool of blood on the ground, our protagonist eventually manages to stagger to his feet and make his way in any direction not that of the killer's. Despite his will to live, he finds that he is too weak and ends up on the same wall as in the beginning of the movie. As the detective finishes his monologue, he closes his eyes and the screen cuts to black. After this, the screen opens up on the hitman who shot the detective. As he walks, he begins rationalizing his thoughts for what he is about to do. The path that he is walking down becomes the alleyway that we saw, and as he raises his gun, concludes that he is not a bad person and is merely doing his job. The screen once again cuts to black, and then opens on an office with a man sitting at a desk. We see the hitman passing the gun to the man and then receiving an envelope of money in return. The hitman walks away, and the man begins rationalizing his own actions. In the end, he decides that there really is no such thing as good and evil, so therefore he could not have done an evil thing. However, the man's door is kicked open to reveal the detective from the beginning. Our protagonist raises a gun, and completes the 'Mind-Circle'.

Wow, I really like it. Too often I see filmmakers obsessed about the camera angle, the lighting, or the special effects. It's good to see someone like myself really care about the true heart of film: the powerer of communication.
In this movie I see a real message and a real ability to send that message across in an intriguing way. You have the Gator-boy stamp of approval.
