DIVORCED GETS A FACE LIFT Sep 22, 2006 10:14AM
Actor Gabriel Romero has completed the narration voice over for the Ted Williams Film, "Divorced" it was announced today. Mr. Romero, a long-time friend of writer/directed Ted Williams agreed to record the voice over scripted by Williams.

"We did the voice over from a script I wrote on Monday at Starbucks. I felt the short film about a man who comes home to an empty house for the first time after getting divorced needed a narrative to help better tell the story. Gabriel helped to fully realize my vision," says Williams.

Gabriel Romero is said to have recorded the entire script plus two new teasers in just one session. Mr. Romero is a professional voice over artist so lending his expertise to Williams' short film was a labor of love. "It's great to have a friend who is so supportive creatively and professionally," says Williams.

After screening the film to friends after the voice over was mixed, the reactions were unannamously favorable. "It really helps bring the film to life. A narrative was definitely needed to better tell the story."

Ted Williams plans to send the new version of his film to a Hollywood agent who has requested three of his screenplays to read. In addition to "Search and Destroy," "Crack Baby," and his "Law and Order" TV spec, Williams will submit his film as a sample of his talent as a filmmaker. And, the director plans to submit the shorr film in several upcoming short film festivals.

"I've been writing for years but have been a filmmaker first and foremost long before I started writing. I can't wait to throw my director's cap back into the mix." Although Williams has been making films since high school, his main focus has been writing for the past ten years. Having written the film "Two Shades of Blue," starring Marlee Matlin, Gary Busey and Rachel Hunter, Williams went on to write "Cutaway" with Stephen Baldwin and Tom Berenger," and has worked as a writer on Reality TV shows such as "Big Brother, "Brat Camp" and "The Bachelorette."

Ted Williams makes his feature directoral debut with "Four Fags in a Fabulous Car."
